Hideaway Club Spring and Autumn Cyprus Walks

The walks, all around 5 miles, are through different areas, each giving a true flavour of the varied countryside of North Cyprus.

Monday - Geçitkoy and Hisarkoy

A walk around Geçitkoy reservoir and dam and Hisarkoy, a typical village set around a pleasant valley at the western end of the Kyrenia mountain range. An excellent Cyprus walk, offering a superb variety of bird life and flowers.

Tuesday - Karaman, Ilgaz and Malatya

Three charming small villages nestling under the escarpment of the Kyrenia mountain range. Beautiful views high over Cyprus' coastal plane. Lunch included.

Wednesday - Kantara Castle and Village

An outstanding walk through north Cyprus woodlands and along the ridge trail to the amazing Kantara Castle, before returning through woods to the village for lunch (included) before returning to Kyrenia.

Thursday - Akdeniz bay and beach

A huge 8 mile, empty sandy beach with dune areas and forests. Many interesting features including an ancient cave tomb, Neolithic settlements and the fossilised bones of baby hippos.

Friday - Buffavento Castle to Bellapais Abbey

Starting at Buffavento Castle then climbing up and over the ridge to open mountain areas before descending to the village of Bellapais with its beautiful abbey.

The walks start early, so you can return to the Hideaway Club for the afternoon, to languish by the pool, or do whatever you like.
